Heather's Story

Administrative Assistant

Mental health is hard to navigate, this is something that I understand all too well having grown up with hereditary anxiety and depression. I have struggled through depression most of my life; teens were a hard transition period due to being diagnosed with depression and trying to find where I fit in in high school, then came my 20s where I was trying to find my place in the world and a career passion that I loved, in my 30s things finally started to finally come together though pre and postpartum depression are not to be taken lightly. With that being said I am happy to be your friendly voice on the other end of the phone or email helping you to navigate the beginning or continuation of seeking help for your mental health journey. I will be that smiling face you see when you walk into the clinic; always feel free to stop me if you need anything, even just to have a quick chat!

I am so happy to have found and started working with Heartland Psychology. I am very pleased to be working with this lovely team of therapists. Mental health is no joke. A healthy mind creates a healthy body which flows into your life thus creating a healthy and fulfilling life.

When I am not in the office I am a busy wife and mumma to a wonderful son and a beautiful pup. Between school and sports, we love traveling as a family (new adventures are always just around the corner) and take some down time in the summer to enjoy our 10 plus years as season seats to the Edmonton Elks. Also love to spend time outside in the sun reading a good book, knitting or playing family games.

Thank you for trusting me with your journey and I look forward to speaking with you soon!
