Liza's Story

Registered Provisional Psychologist

I have always been drawn to people, their stories, and those in distress. This interest flourished as I experienced first-hand the powerful positive effects of help and support. I am passionate about supporting individuals through their difficulties and helping them to meet their goals and live rich and meaningful lives.

I take an integrative approach to therapy, considering what best meets each client's needs. I primarily draw upon Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

My care is trauma-informed (involving safety, choice, collaboration, trust, and empowerment) and embraces the client-centred principles of empathy, genuineness, and acceptance. I appreciate the courage it can take to share one's story and consider it a great honour to share in that journey.

When I am not with clients, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our four children and doing anything active or outdoors.

Therapeutic Philosophy

I approach therapy with warmth, authenticity, and compassion, creating a safe, nonjudgmental, and collaborative space where individuals feel seen and supported. Grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I take a trauma-informed and evidence-based approach, focusing on empowering individuals to live in alignment with their values, commit to meaningful action, and move
toward a more authentic and fulfilling life.
